EA MOBILE BRINGS CARTOON LEGENDS TO LIFE WITH 'ASTERIX: THE OFFICIAL MOBILE GAME OF THE MOVIE'

Chertsey, UK - 21st January, 2008 - Electronic Arts (NASAQ: ERTS) today announced 'Asterix,: The Official Mobile Game of the Movie', will be available across Europe in January 2008. Following an agreement between EA and licensors La Petite Reine and Editions Albert Rene for the exclusive wireless device rights, the launch of the game will coincide with the premiere of Asterix at the Olympic Games, a live action film starring Gerard Depardieu as Obélix, which will be released in over 40 countries throughout the world.

The Asterix series of comics amongst Europe's most successful, selling more than 325 million copies*. The comic, Asterix at the Olympic Games, has sold over 15 million copies worldwide. This is the third live action Asterix movie, following the success of the first two, which grossed $200 million* at the box office worldwide.

The platform adventure game captures the atmosphere of the film and explores the plot as Asterix and Obelix compete in Greece to win the hand of Princess Irina for young Gaul, Lovestorix. Players start out on the streets of Athens before qualifying for events such as long jump, running, disk, football and the chariot race finale.

The game offers fans all their favourite characters from the comics, including Panoramix (Getafix), Caesar and Brutus and is ideal for sporting fans and cartoon lovers alike.
