The game will be available through major mobile operators across five continents, bringing the tournament and its superstars to life in the most emotionally resonating interactive sporting experience ever - for the mobile phone.

EA SPORTSTM 2006 FIFA World CupTM captures the passion of the FIFA World Cup for mobile phone gamers. Players can select any of the 32 finalist international teams and lead them to glory to hold the biggest prize in football - the 2006 FIFA World CupTM.

Sharp visuals, immersive gameplay, remarkable ball physics and the intuitive passing and shooting controls enable players to show their skills like never before. Changing weather conditions affect the accuracy and power of strikes and passes, and a variety of camera angles featured in the 3D version of the game all set the stage for an authentic recreation of the 2006 FIFA World Cup tournament.

The game, available in Chinese, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish will launch first across Europe in April 2006 and will subsequently become available through major mobile operators in Asia, North America, Australia and South America.
