E3: Square Enix reveals show floor line-up

Japanese publisher Square Enix has taken the wraps off one of its strongest E3 line-ups ever, with no fewer than 16 titles set to appear on the company's stand in the South Hall of the LA Convention Centre next month.

Headlining the list are Final Fantasy XII, Dragon Quest VIII and Kingdom Hearts II, along with action title Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-, the latest game in the "Compilation of Final Fantasy VII" series, and Fullmetal Alchemist 2: Curse of the Crimson Elixir.

A range of mobile titles will also be on display at the show, including the firm's two FFVII-based titles - Before Crisis and Final Fantasy VII Snowboarding, which is based on one of the best-loved mini-games from the classic PlayStation title.

However, it's still not clear which of these games will see the light of day in Europe. DVD title Final Fantasy VII Advent Children has been confirmed for "worldwide" release, Kingdom Hearts II is on schedules for Europe, and it'd be hard to imagine Final Fantasy XII failing to appear here - but many of Square Enix' other major titles remain unconfirmed.

As yet, there's been no official word on Dragon Quest VIII in Europe, nor on Dirge of Cerberus, Romancing SaGa, Radiata Stories or Front Mission Online - while the entire Fullmetal Alchemist series has yet to take a bow on this side of the Atlantic, despite the fact that the anime series it's based on will be appearing here on DVD in the near future.
