E3 2018: Watch the Electronic Arts conference here

Anthem and the latest from EA Originals are likely to be highlights of EA's annual showcase - starts Saturday June 9 at 11:00 PST / 19:00 BST

Electronic Arts' EA Play is the first in the marathon of E3 press events, and it is perhaps the most predictable of the lot.

We can expect to see plenty of FIFA, Madden and sports in general, and a heavy focus on Battlefield V's new gameplay modes. However, we're also likely to take a deeper dive into what Bioware has been working on with Anthem, and perhaps come to a conclusion on whether the studio has officially left its RPG roots behind.

There may not be much room for surprises in EA Play, but the publisher will likely be ready to follow up Zoink's Fe and Hazelight's A Way Out with a glimpse of the next game from its EA Originals label.
