dtp signs Shadowgrounds

Hamburg, 07/25/2005. Germany-based publisher dtp has just signed the action-shooter Shadowgrounds. Developed by the young finnish team Frozenbyte, Shadowgrounds is a promising and already eagerly awaited debut game. The game features straight arcade-shooter gameplay with suspense and survival horror-elements, yet the looks is all but retro: With realtime shadows and lightning effects the top-down view game is totally "2005".

The player takes over the role of a marine trying to secure a devastated space station on Jupiter-moon Ganymed. Ten different weapons - from grenade launchers to flamethrowers to Gatling-guns - can be upgraded and offer fun with different fire-modes.

The game will be out in the German speaking countries in early october and will be shown by dtp to the public at this year's Games Convention in Leipzig (17th-21st August).
