dtp: Markus Windelen named new COO

Hamburg, Germany: May 2, 2006 - German publisher dtp entertainment AG is expanding on a massive scale. The new position of COO has been filled with Markus Windelen, who joined dtp May 1. Windelen will bolster the leadership of the publisher as new member of the board. In his position of COO, Windelen will mainly be in charge of expanding the publishing activities especially in the games sector and boosting the international reach of dtp.

"We're strengthening our position in the games industry tremendously. This requires an expansion of our human resources. We are thrilled to have found such an experienced veteran of the industry in Markus Windelen", says Thomas Baur, CEO of dtp entertainment AG.

"dtp has risen to being one of the major players among German publishers. Our accomplishments in the edutainment and adventure game genres are obvious. Currently, our team is forging ahead with the strongest product portfolio in the company's history. Projects like Drakensang: The Dark Eye, the stealth-action title Sabotage, Runaway 2 and Tony Tough 2 are only some examples. I'm looking forward to applying all my strength towards achieving the ambitious goals that dtp is aiming for", says Markus Windelen.

Windelen has been working in the games industry for over 12 years. He was head of product acquisition at Bomico/Infogrames Germany, before transferring to its French parent company in Lyon in 1999 to work as Director of Production and Marketing for the publishing arm of Atari Europe. From 2002 to 2005, Windelen was on location in Australia to serve as VP Production at Atari Melbourne House. He returned to Germany only last year and worked as Head of 3rd Party & Licensing at Atari Germany until recently. In this position, he worked to improve product acquisition for Atari Europe, as well as the publisher's business relations in Russia.
