DSi sales in the US hit 1 million
North American performance mirrors European milestone announced earlier
Nintendo has added to the announcement made earlier today that the latest iteration of its DS hardware, the DSi, had hit 1 million sales in Europe - by revealing the same milestone has also been passed in the US.
The DSi, which was only released eight weeks ago, has notched up an impressive number in a short time, adding to generally strong sales in Japan since it was launched there last year.
Nintendo's Cammie Dunaway, who revealed the US sales figures at the platform holder's E3 press conference, also revealed that the DS Lite was continuing to sell well, shifting 400,000 units in the territory since the DSi launch - compared to 500,000 sold in Europe during that time.
