DreamTeam secures $5m seed funding investment from Mangrove Capital

"In just six months DreamTeam built the most liquid recruitment marketplace on the planet," says VC fund partner

Mangrove Capital Partners has inked a seed funding deal worth $5 million with esports team-building platform DreamTeam.

The venture capital fund previously invested an undisclosed sum in DreamTeam in April, which saw firm partner David Waroquier join the advisory board.

Currently the platform offers esports team-building services for Counter-Strike:Global Offensive and League of Legends, with plans to support Fortnite in the near future.

"In just six months DreamTeam built the most liquid recruitment marketplace on the planet, bigger than all other esports recruitment platforms combined, quickly approaching one million registered users," said Waroquier in a statement.

"Having advised DreamTeam for quite some time now, I am impressed by the quality of the team and their execution capabilities."

Alexander Kokhanovskyy, DreamTeam CEO and co-founder said the extra investment will help "offer millions of gamers a clear-cut way to esports stardom".
