Dragonology
DS game of the book arrives this week in PAL parts and next week in the States.
Wednesday 4th November/... Discover a hidden world of dragons on Nintendo DS™ in Dragonology, releasing on November 5th across PAL territories, November 6th in the UK and shipping on November 10th in North America.
Dragonology is the officially licensed video game based on Templar Publishing's best selling book 'Dragonology: The Complete Book of Dragons', which purports to be the last remaining copy of a 19th century dragon-keeper's manual. It features a unique mix of dragon fantasy and folklore and has sold in excess of 6 million copies, becoming a favourite amongst children worldwide. A new video showcasing Dragonology's gameplay is now available from www.codemasters.com/dragonology.
Dragonology, the video game, will bring the book's magical world of dragons to life in an absorbing and exciting interactive adventure for younger gamers. Embarking on a journey to become a Master of Dragonology, players learn ancient dragon tracking techniques and travel to exotic locations to study, protect and preserve these dangerous and secretive creatures. To help conserve these fearsome beasts, players can train, fly and play with their very own dragon before releasing it back into the wild.
To find the dragons in their natural habitat, players must learn to mix potions and create contraptions as they travel from the icy wastes of Antarctica to the plains of Africa. Players build up their very own Dragonological Encyclopaedia with information collected on their adventures and study curiosities including dragon claws, scales and teeth. Through 16 exciting mini-games, gamers can play with and fly their own rescued European Dragon while discovering 5 other rare species of dragon, including the Frost, Asian Lung and Mexican Ampithere.
The enchanting world of dragons comes to Nintendo DS on November 5th across PAL territories, November 6th in the UK and November 10th in North America. Fly over to www.codemasters.com/dragonology for the new Dragonology video, screens and information.
