Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle has earned $1 billion in revenue since it launched in July 2015, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Bandai Namco's mobile fighting game was released two years ago this week, and it is now estimated to have earned more than $1 billion in global revenue between the App Store and Google Play. In terms of the split, the App Store has a slight advantage, with 54 per cent of total revenue.
According to Sensor Tower, Japanese players are responsible for around 60 per cent of the $1 billion earned. The US is the second most lucrative territory - by some distance - with 20 per cent.
Bandai Namco has not been forthcoming with official numbers regarding Dokkan Battle's performance, but it revealed that it had been downloaded 200 million times in July 2017 - the first anniversary of its launch.
