Double Fusion Signs Multi-Year Deal With Independent Game Developer Trilogy Studios For Integrated In-Game Advertising
Double Fusion, Trilogy Set a Benchmark for Next-Generation In-Game Advertising with Upcoming Project
SAN FRANCISCO - April 26, 2006 - Leading
in-game advertising technology and service provider Double
Fusion has signed a multi-year deal with independent game
developer Trilogy Studios for advertising and product
placement within the studio's highly-anticipated first title.
The partnership aims to create a game franchise that will
become an industry showcase for dynamically served
advertising that is integrated into a game's storyline by
taking advantage of the capabilities of the Double Fusion
software and services.
The Double Fusion technology platform includes creative
update and tracking capabilities that will allow Trilogy to
develop a set of both integrated and environmental
advertising placements, which go well beyond the current
paradigms of billboards and other static images. The
company's advanced content updating technology gives the
developer more flexibility, which translates to more creative
options and ad revenue potential.
"We believe that Double Fusion's technology is the most
innovative in-game advertising platform on the market and
will allow us to most effectively and creatively integrate
branded advertising placements into our title," said Michael
Pole, CEO of Trilogy Studios. "As a partner, Double Fusion
understands our needs and we are excited about the
opportunity to integrate dynamic ad content into the game's
storyline."
Trilogy Studios is a self-funded developer led by industry
veterans Michael Pole (formerly of Vivendi Universal Games),
Rick Giolito (formerly of Electronic Arts) and Mark Skaggs
(also most recently of Electronic Arts). The company has
cultivated a creative team environment to develop the finest
new intellectual properties for next-generation consoles and
the PC. The three co-founders of Trilogy have collectively
been responsible for several of the industry's most
successful franchises including Medal of Honor, Knockout
Kings, The Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth and The
Chronicles of Riddick.
"We actively sought out Trilogy as a partner," said Elie
Wurtman, chairman and CEO of Double Fusion. "They have the
team, experience and track record of success that we value in
our partners, and we believe their debut title will be
successful and innovative. Trilogy's decision to work with
Double Fusion further demonstrates their commitment to
enhancing the end-user experience and we are excited to prove
our full potential as we get involved in the early stages of
the game's development."
Double Fusion has developed a world-class system for
promoting brands and products through games. The company's
offerings allow publishers to increase their per-title
revenues through integrated and dynamic ad placement
opportunities. As a technology innovator, Double Fusion was
the first to incorporate branded 3D objects as well as
streaming video into a game. Developers and publishers
