Digital Bridges To Bring Freestyle Motocross Legend To Mobile Gaming
Nate Adams signs licensing agreement with Leading Mobile Games Publisher
London, UK & San Francisco, CA, 25th January 2005: Digital Bridges, a world leader in the creation and distribution of mobile entertainment solutions, today announced it has secured a licensing agreement with freestyle motocross legend Nate Adams. The rights, negotiated by The Familie, the athlete management division of Wasserman Media Group, will result in a new mobile game title, Nate Adams Freestyle Motocross, joining the db/i/games portfolio of premium branded mobile games.
Nate Adams has long been regarded as one of the best freestyle motocross riders in the world. Nate's reputation soared in the 2003 Summer X-Games where he took home two Silver Medals. Since then, Nate secured a Bronze at the 2003 Winter X-Games, a Silver and Gold at the 2004 Summer X-Games, a Gold at the 2003 and 2004 Gravity Games and a Gold at the LG World Championships of Freestyle Motocross.
Nate, a native of Phoenix, is a keen gamer and is keeping a close eye on the development of the Motocross game. Digital Bridges has commissioned Austrian mobile games specialist Xendex to develop 'Nate Adams Freestyle Motocross', which features a revolutionary physics engine.
Nate Adams Freestyle Motocross will be distributed across all major wireless network carriers and other distribution channels in North America, Europe and Asia in April 2005, covering a wide range of both Java and BREW-enabled handsets.
Said Paul Maglione, Senior Vice President of Publishing and Marketing for Digital Bridges, "Motocross is one of the "mobile generation's" favourite sports; freestyle motocross is the hottest speciality area of motocross due to its counter-culture image and lifestyle appeal, and Nate Adams is the King of freestyle motocross: pretty much a winning combination.
Nate Adams commented: "To be an FMX champion, you have to be willing to put your body, health and in some circumstances your life on the line. But for those that understandably don't want to go to that extreme; the fun can be experienced from the relative safety of the mobile phone! I'm really excited about this game. You can play the game when you're on the go or just hanging with your friends. This is going to be an awesome game!"
