Develop reveals conference keynotes
Dave Jones, David Perry and Mark Healey among the list of names confirmed
The organisers of the Develop conference, taking place in Brighton this July, have announced the list of keynote speakers for this year's event, with a host of key figures set to deliver presentations.
Realtime Worlds CEO Dave Jones will be the overall conference keynote, with David Perry, Mark Healey, Jeff Hickman, Jonathan Smith and David Edery also lined up for the major sessions.
Acclaim's Perry and Microsoft's Edery will both be delivering talks on the event's first day as part of the new Evolve section, which is focusing on development for new platforms, including mobile, XBLA and iPhone.
Meanwhile Healey, alongside fellow co-founder Kareem Ettouney, will talk about "The Art of LittleBigPlanet" and explain the process of setting a visual style that is both versatile and cohesive.
Smith, development director at Traveller's Tales, will provide the design track's keynote and discuss "Building LEGO Worlds - Online, Offline and Everything In-Between" and will be joined by NetDevil's Ryan Seabury to talk about the LEGO Universe project, among other things.
Mythic Entertainment executive producer Jeff Hickman will keynote the business track with a presentation entitled "Out of the Box(ed Product): Thinking for an Online Age," drawing on the company's experience of launching and running the Warhammer Online MMO.
And Microsoft Game Studios' Guy Whitmore and Ubisoft's Lisa Charman will host the main sessions on the audio and production tracks respectively.
Develop will run this year from July 14-16, and more information - including interviews with some of the keynote speakers - will be available on GamesIndustry.biz in the event's build-up.
