Develop: Early bird registration ends tomorrow
Early registration for the Develop in Brighton conference, this summer's biggest development event, is set to close tomorrow - June 10th - so if you're planning to attend, you've got 24 hours to take advantage of the cheaper prices.
The Develop conference and expo will bring the industry together in that (hopefully) sunny seaside city on the south coast of England to hear from industry luminaries including Halo composer Marty O'Donnell, Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux, Singstar producer Pauline Bozek, Blitz Games founder Andrew Oliver, not to mention our favourite creator of insanely creative and compellingly psychedelic games, Tetsuya Mizuguchi.
To blow our own trumpet a little for a moment, there'll also be a session featuring one of the leading lights of the British film industry, producer Andrew Macdonald of DNA Films, who will be interviewed on stage by GamesIndustry.biz editor Rob Fahey. A regular collaborator with director Danny Boyle and author Alex Garland, Macdonald is the producer behind movies including Shallow Grave, Trainspotting, The Beach and 28 Days Later, and will be sharing his insight on what the games industry can learn from the movie business - and vice versa.
In total, there are 47 sessions at the conference, spread over two days and split into six tracks, with more keynotes set to be announced in the near future - while other events running during the week include an ATI-sponsored graphics developer day, a Mobile development event, the education-focused GamesEdu event, and of course, the GamesIndustry.biz party on Thursday night.
