Develop conference moves to Liverpool for first time
Largest annual UK development event to move up north in November
The organisers of the Develop conference are to hold an additional one-day only event in Liverpool this year. The announcement the conference will heading up north for the first time follows the success of its fourth outing earlier this month in Brighton, where over a thousand industry professionals gathered for three days of talks and networking opportunities.
In Liverpool, Develop aims to meet the demands of the thriving northern game community and will feature three tracks and multiple networking sessions, including a post-event drinks reception.
"With such an active and vibrant development community north of Birmingham it just makes sense to take the Develop conference to Liverpool. We want as many developers as possible to experience the passion and energy that we saw in Brighton. Develop in Liverpool is at the heart of a region that has long history of development excellence, so we're confident this will be a day fizzing with ideas and insights," event director, Andy Lane said.
Praise for this year's Brighton event was voiced by numerous industry attendees, including David Perry.
"Having to fly from the other side of the world to attend the Develop Conference, that put some serious pressure on my expectations, however I can now report back, it far exceeded those expectations. I met lots of friends, had really great business meetings, lots of press, and it all happens in an amazing location," the Acclaim Games director commented.
Develop in Liverpool is to take place alongside Software City at the Arena and Conference Centre on Thursday November 5.
