Develop Conference 2009
One-day event to be staged in Liverpool this November.
The UK’s largest event for the game development community is set to travel north later this year with the announcement of Develop in Liverpool, a one day conference that will take place at the Arena and Conference Centre Liverpool on Thursday 5th November.
The announcement comes on the back of another successful Develop conference, the fourth in Brighton, which saw over a thousand development professionals spend three days networking and learning by the sea.
Develop in Liverpool is designed to meet the demands of the thriving game community based in the north, with three tracks and multiple networking sessions including a post event drinks reception. The event will take place alongside Software City, which is organised by Merseyside ICT.
“With such an active and vibrant development community north of Birmingham it just makes sense to take the Develop conference to Liverpool. We want as many developers as possible to experience the passion and energy that we saw in Brighton. Develop in Liverpool is at the heart of a region that has long history of development excellence, so we’re confident this will be a day fizzing with ideas and insights,” commented Event Director, Andy Lane.
Develop in Brighton has received widespread praise for the quality of its speakers and the breadth and depth of the conference.
“Yet again the Develop Conference provided an energetic and exciting environment in which to meet new people and learn new things.” Jonathan Smith, Development Director, Traveller’s Tales Games
“Having to fly from the other side of the world to attend the Develop Conference, that put some serious pressure on my expectations, however I can now report back, it far exceeded those expectations. I met lots of friends, had really great business meetings, lots of press, and it all happens in an amazing location.”
David Perry, Creative Director, Acclaim Games
