TIGA raises glass to winners.

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry,would like to congratulate all the winners at last night’s Develop Industry Excellence Awards 2010.

This year’s Develop Industry Excellence Awards saw a wide variety of industry luminaries and indie champions taking home awards. UK companies were well represented with the Gower brothers and Jagex scooping the Development Legend award, new studio Hello Games winning two awards including best new studio and best micro studio. UK audio company Side won best audio outsourcer and Rocksteady, FreeStyleGames, Black Rock Studio, SonyXDev and SCE Cambridge also all scooped awards.

Dr. Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO stated: “Huge congratulations to all of last night’s winners. The number of UK studios winning awards illustrates the talent and diversity that exists in the British industry. TIGA is proud to represent this innovative sector and strives to make the UK the best place in the world to do games business.”
