Joins Brooklyn-based studio SMERC as development consultant.

New York, NY - September 1st, 2009 – Brooklyn’s own SMERC Games is proud to announce both the appointment of David Edery to the company’s advisory board and also his engagement as an Executive Consultant in charge of independent game development. Through his new position, David will strengthen the executive team at SMERC and lend his knowledge and experience to developing the company’s new business strategies.

The Founder and Principal of Fuzbi, an independent consulting firm focused on the business and design of digitally-distributed games, David Edery is a pre-eminent force in gaming. Prior to starting his own company, Edery served as Worldwide Manager of XBox Live Portfolio. Edery is an affiliate of MIT’s Comparative Media Studies Program and Edery, himself, is a graduate of MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
