Curse game portal receives $5 million funding

Curse Inc., an online gaming portal dedicated to MMOGs and their fan communities, announced that it has received USD 5 million in funding.

French venture capital firm AGF Private Equity provided the Series-A funding.

âCurseâs vision is to build a full-featured, community-driven portal devoted to online gaming, providing players with invaluable resources and delivering the gaming demographic to advertisers, as well as partners in the game development and publishing industries,â said Curseâs founder and CEO, Hubert Thieblot.

âThe funding from AGF Private Equity provides the financial backing and creative freedom required to do this successfully,â he continued.

Curse recently launched its newest version, V4, which provides features such as image and video uploading, blogging, and social bookmarking.
