CTIA keynote line-up is revealed
Top execs from across mobile and entertainment industries gather in SF
Telecommunications, technology and entertainment market leaders are all on the keynote programme for CTIA Wireless in San Francisco later this month, with the full list of speakers being revealed by the event this week.
Execs from entertainment firms including CBS, Warner Music, Major League Baseball and RealNetworks will be joining those from companies such as Nokia, Microsoft, Sprint Nextel and Intel on the stage at the three-day conference.
The conference keynote sessions are divided up into three themed days, kicking off on Tuesday 27th with a session on Mobile Enterprise featuring Microsoft's mobile and embedded devices division marketing VP Susan DelBene, Intel mobility group general manager Sean Maloney and Nokia enterprise solutions boss Mary McDowell.
This will be followed on Wednesday by a Mobile Entertainment keynote session, where Warner Music CEO Edgar Bronfman, RealNetworks CEO Rob Glaser and Greenberg Traurig co-managing shareholder Joel Katz will discuss how wireless technology is changing the entertainment industry.
Finally, on Thursday, a session on Mobile Marketing will take place, featuring the first presentation by Sprint Nextel COO Len Lauer since the merger between Sprint and Nextel took place, along with MLB Advanced Media wireless boss Adam Ritter, CBS Broadcasting Digital Media wireless VP Cyriac Roeding, OgilvyOne Worldwide senior partner Gary Towning and Anomaly partner Mark Kaplan.
CTIA Wireless takes place on September 27th to 29th at the Moscone West convention centre in the heart of San Francisco, and covers everything from mobile content to digital cameras and, of course, mobile games.
"This year's keynote session is a clear reminder that wireless data technology is expanding its reach beyond that of an alternative to wireline telephony," commented CTIA president and CEO Steve Largent.
"We have gathered an exclusive group of business leaders to show how wireless is being integrated into their company's business strategies and what it means for their bottom lines," he continued. "The presence of these telecom, media and entertainment giants on our centre stage is a great indicator of the impact wireless data has made on countless industries."
