NEW YORK - January 19, 2010 - Armor Games is proud to announce a kingdom-sized update for their medieval rock-slinger, Crush the Castle. The puzzle-action game challenges players to rain down destruction on increasingly fortified castles. Armed with a trebuchet – a specialized and highly accurate style of catapult – players hurl projectiles over and through castle walls to crush both the castle and its royal denizens. This iPhone classic is the heir to the realm of its father, the wildly successful flash-based Crush The Castle.
Crush the Castle 1.2 adds 40 new levels to the already-robust 50, and launches an even easier-to-use level editor. Armor Games have doubled the weapon set, adding wicked new bombs and potions to the player’s arsenal, letting players dabble in alchemy or just fling a trio of big rocks to send the walls crashing down. Thanks to realistic physics and the wonders of simulated gravity, a perfect shot can crush a castle in one fell swoop and net the player a coveted gold medal. Players can look forward to a fantastic reward if they earn a gold medal in all 90 levels.
Crush the Castle 1.2’s challenge comes from mastering the trebuchet’s precise timing – wreck the opposing fortress in one glorious, arcing lob of demolition. Tap anywhere to set it in motion, and tap again to release the payload. The controls are both simple to learn and highly responsive, creating massive pick-up-and-play appeal for gamers of all ages.
