Cronous

Free–to-play MMORPG getting two patches: one today and one on the 28th.

Seoul, Korea – September 11, 2008 – Lizard Interactive has just released details of their planned patch updates for Cronous, the immensely popular free–to-play MMORPG title. Two patches are scheduled for September 11 and 28. These patches will allow players at low levels or new players to get a taste of some cash items before purchasing them from the Item Shop.

The first patch on September 11 will allow players with levels from 1 to 60 to buy cash items from the NPC named Ram Ram with in-game currency instead of the normally used cash points. Players can choose among 26 different cash items, but the effect of each item will last for only 30 minutes. Players will be allowed unlimited purchases with the new system. Players can experience firsthand the thrills of double EXP, increased protection and try out new looks with special avatars and other effects.

The second patch on September 18 will give new players a gift set cash items to help new players catch up more quickly with higher level players and to provide them with instant fun game play. This beginner’s set consists of 5 items and the effects last for only 30 minutes upon activation.

An in-game event, Once In Blue Moon, will be held along with new patch updates. Players collect 6 designated materials and then combine them in order to win rare items. This event will last for one week during September 18-25, 2008.
