CRI Middleware, Inc. announces CRI FileMajik: A cross-platform file system for the next generation of games.
San Francisco, CA - March 15, 2008 CRI Middleware, Inc., announced CRI FileMajik, a file system that unifies game development.
CRI FileMajik leverages over ten years of experience in research and development building tools for game developers. "Over the years we've spoken to quite a few developers and repeatedly heard the challenges they've had porting a game from system to system. One reason is because the game hardware, devices and file systems are so unique. We wrote FileMajik as a unifying platform to address these issues" explains CRI Middleware, Inc. President, Masao Oshimi.
CRI FileMajik offers an next-gen file system with features such as: asynchronous file requests, prioritized loads, zero-buffer decompression and UMD speed emulation for the PSP. Using CRI FileMajik allows developers to focus more on the game and less on the peculiarities of each piece of target hardware.
CRI FileMajik supports all major gaming platforms including: Nintendo Wii and DS, Sony Playstation 3 and PSP, Microsoft Xbox 360 and PC.
