Creative Assembly to help students and job seekers at EGX Rezzed

Total War developer will be there to look at portfolios

Creative Assembly will be visiting EGX Rezzed next month to help students, graduates and games industry professionals with their careers.

The firm will be on hand to discuss job opportunities at the firm, and also offer advice on how to get into the business. The firm will also review portfolios for anyone who brings theirs along.

Creative Assembly will be on hand over the entire three-day period - Friday, April 13th - Sunday, April 15th. They will be joined by a series of other developers, who will also review portfolios, although only during set times.

“Portfolio reviews provide a rare opportunity to meet face-to-face with industry experts and get tailored feedback and advice, at Creative Assembly we also use these opportunities to find new talent and regularly recruit through reviews," says CA talent manager Emma Smith. "Your portfolio is your chance at a making a first and lasting impression, make sure you take on board feedback to improve your portfolio so it shows off the best of your skills.”

The Careers Advice and Portfolio Reviews section of the Career Fair will take place every day during EGX Rezzed 2018 at 10am - 12 pm and then again at 2pm - 4pm.

Those conducting the Careers Advice and Portfolio Reviews include Rob Crossley from PlayStack, Jamie Holding from NDreams, Daley Eve Johnson from Rare, Tracy Hudson from Playground Games, John Griffiths from TT Games and Bogdan Vera from Media Molecule.

You can see the list as it stands right here. More will be added the closer we get to the event.

It is part of a bigger, expanded GamesIndustry.biz Career Fair, which will include studio and university booths, plus the return of the UKIE Career Bar. The Career Bar will be hosted by Will Freeman, and include talks from industry experts across all three days of the show.

The Career Fair is one component of this year's GamesIndustry.biz presence at EGX Rezzed 2018. We will also be there to announce and celebrate the winners of the GamesIndustry.biz 100 (sponsored by Amiqus) alongside the return of our Meet The Indies zone. More information on Meet The Indies will be made available soon.
