The popular free-to-play online FPS, Combat Arms Europe, is today celebrating the launch of a brand new football event, Operation: Football Madness. As part of a continuous expansion package Combat Arms Europe also introduces a new map, Vertigo plus Training Ground feature. With the launch of a new sporting event that’s never been seen before in Combat Arms Europe, this could be a summer to remember. What’s more, if you place your bets carefully you could be celebrating off the pitch and in the game with huge GP rewards!

With the largest global football tournament kicking off in a week, today’s announcement will give footie fans the chance to get behind their chosen team off the pitch and in the game! By allowing dedicated soldiers and footie fans alike the chance to get behind their chosen team they can off support and gain rewards at the same time.

Getting involved is easy and players simply have to select their chosen country, and wait for the games to begin. Random players will then be selected and rewarded if their team makes it through each stage. Any user that makes it through to the final to become a football champion can expect to receive a fortune in GP! Countries have also been divided and grouped accordingly, so you’ll have to think tactically and implement a winning strategy in order to make it all the way.

In keeping with the football theme, players can also expect to see footie mania spread throughout the game with sporting gear and backpacks becoming available each day. In addition, a number of footballs will be deployed on a successful combat which can be collected and redeemed for special gear. Finally a number of Patriot Masks that are painted with national flags will be available in the Blackmarket at a discounted rate. So why not show your support by wearing your flag with pride!

Combat Arms Europe also welcomes Vertigo, a brand new map that is not for the faint hearted. Terrorists have infiltrated the operation room on the roof of a major finance building so they can disseminate nerve gas through the air circulation system. Upon discovering the plans of the terrorists, military forces have landed onto the roof of the high rise. Your mission is to stop the terrorists from detonating their chemical weapon.

In addition to all this new users will also be able to embark on a training mission in the new Training Grounds. With this new content feature, soldiers can enter a solo training site to get used to the key controls and the game play. On first time completion rewards will be given to the soldiers who successfully complete their mission.

If you’re a keen football fan, then get playing as these sports themed events should keep you on a winning streak. But if you’re focus is battle then there’s plenty for you to do, as Vertigo and Training Grounds will keep you occupied. With regular monthly updates and a whole host of brand new content, Combat Arms Europe continues to keep you locked in the battle field.
