Cogs
Puzzler now localized into English, German, Italian, French, Russian and Polish.
San Francisco, CA - Independent developer Lazy 8 Studios announced today that they have teamed up with localization firm LocWorks [http://www.locworks.net] to bring their flagship game Cogs to an international audience. Cogs is now available in English, German, Italian, French, Russian and Polish. All of these localized versions can be found at Steam or Direct2Drive, the two current online distributors for the PC puzzle game.
“LocWorks has helped us every step of the way in bringing Cogs to a wider audience,” said Rob Jagnow, CEO of Lazy 8 Studios. “In addition to their translations, they provided advice on font selection, character sets, and file encoding. We're also confident that they've captured the fun of the game with translations that do an excellent job of taking the game's context into account.”
According to Jagnow, sales have been highest in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada, but sales in non-English speaking countries account for a surprising 29% of total revenue. “There is clearly an international demand for Cogs. We're excited about making the game accessible to a whole new audience.”
