ClanBase announces Fall 2007: Showtime!

Just when you thought all the excitement was over with the EuroCup XV LAN Final event in Enschede, NL, we at ClanBase are proud to deliver more excitement to the arena.

Starting tonight, we welcome you all to the ClanBase OpenCup season for Fall 2007!

Like it's 15 predecessors, this season promises to deliver a series of thrilling and highly competitive tournaments with 66 OpenCups spanning a great 26 games.

The OpenCup kicks off with a group league phase, where you the participant fight to proceed to the playoff finals phase, featuring a single elimination race to the next round for each team leading up to the final moment!

As with all our seasons you can expect to see a well organised competition provided by our Cup Supervisors, who work to constantly ensure the smooth running of the Cup, and a Cup with bigger and better coverage delivered by our Coverage Supervisors, making each moment something you'll not forget!

This Cup season signups will run from 22:00 CET on Sunday, 9th September until 22:00 on Sunday, 23rd, followed by the tournament launch on Monday 8th October. You can expect more excitement in between now and the first matchweek, including details on the next incarnation of the EuroCup, XVI, and details on the range of coverage we will be putting before you!

We are aiming to finish this competition before the Christmas break, although some Cups may run over. You must however stay on top of the roster by scheduling and playing your matches on time!

Given the problems that many have experienced with some clans not following the rules in the past, which in turn affects everyone from the players to the supervisors to the broadcasters, all should be aware that we are going to be more strict on enforcing the Cup rules!
