CITIES XL

Developer blogs follows up on recent Point, Shoot – Win! contest.

PARIS, France. September 8, 2008 -- As a follow-up to their recent "Point, Shoot – Win!" contest, which invited gamers to submit images of their homes for possible inclusion in CITIES XL™, Monte Cristo today launched an extensive blog post describing the process of recreating the winner's real-world home within the game.

At http://www.citiesxl.com today, artist Kirill Bozhok from Monte Cristo's Kiev studio walks readers through the step-by-step process of taking images of a home and converting them into a full 3D model, complete with realistic textures, environmental effects and lighting. The new blog post includes images that illustrate each step of the process as it is explained.
