"Chromadrome 2": Faster than Light Races through the Quantum Universe
For immediate release
Oswestry, UK - September 4, 2007: Alpha72 Games today announces "Chromadrome 2". The game takes you to the world of Chromates, happy-go-lucky, quantum particles that just love playing games. There is one little Chromate that is a bit behind the pack when it comes to faster than light travel, and he needs your help to make the grade. It's your goal to help Chromate stay on the track, while negotiating loops, jumping holes, and clearing a path through hundreds of other silly Chromates that just love to get in your way.
Each level in "Chromadrome 2" is a long, straight track and all you have to do is reach the finish line without falling. The tracks are built from a list of pre-designed segments which, over time, can be easily learned and mastered. You can set the speed individually for each level so you will never be out of your depth. In the main Arcade mode, the game has over 100 increasingly challenging levels where you will encounter more than 40 game features, turning this simple game into a frantic haphazard dash to the finish line.
The game has 6 modes to play. In addition to Arcade, there is Time Trial mode that challenges you to get along the tracks in the quickest possible time. In Warp Mode, you will encounter an extremely long, gently accelerating track that orbits the earth eventually attaining Warp velocity. Other modes are no less fun, letting you practice some of the trickier segments and earn Degree Medals or engage into a full 8 level racing game across massive undulating 3D landscapes. For those who have friends over, there's a Two Player Mode with a split screen action where you can challenge each other to see who is the best Chromadromer!
Progressing through Chromadrome, you'll be awarded Medals, which allow you to access some of the 40 bonus features. These let you customize the look, feel and sound of Chromadrome in a multitude of diverse ways. Scoring points in the Arcade will also unlock some phenomenal full screen glass lens filter effects, including motion blur, fish eye, and mosaic. Each comes with various customizable settings to let you create some mesmerizing visuals.
All your high scores are recorded with full Action Replay, so you can watch yourself in action over and over again. You can also Replay the last level you played to gloat in your brilliance, or see where you went wrong! You can play Chromadrome along to your own music track, be it mp3, wma or CD files and the background visualizations will respond accordingly.
