CHART-TRACK LAUNCHES NEW COMPUTER AND VIDEO GAMES CHART IN DENMARK
OFFICIAL GAMES CHART PROVIDER FURTHER EXTENDS ITS SERVICE IN EUROPE
Friday 19th January/...The Danish Trade body Multi Medie Foreningen has commissioned the highly regarded Chart-Track to monitor retail sales of computer and video game software and console hardware in Denmark. This comes with the full support of key retail chains B.O. Bøger, Blockbuster, Coop, Dansk Supermarked, EB Games, F Group, Game and Merlin.
On January 9th, after a six-month trial, the first official weekly charts were produced and showed EA's 'Need For Speed: Carbon' as Denmark's top-selling full price game and THQ's 'Biler' (Cars) as the budget top-seller.
John Pinder, Managing Director of Chart-Track, said "We're delighted to launch our new service in Denmark and we should like to thank the publishers and retailers for their enthusiastic support in getting the project off the ground.
