Championship Gaming Series Announces Results of the UK Draft and Final
London Mint Beat Birmingham Salvo to Win the Inaugural CGS 2007 UK Championship
Both Teams will Represent the UK at the CGS 2007 World Championship in Los Angeles this December
London, UK - 28 September, 2007 - Championship Gaming SeriesTM (CGS), the only worldwide professional gaming league, today announced the results of its first-ever UK Draft and Final, held on the 27th and 28th of September at the Three Mills Studio in London. London Mint beat Birmingham Salvo 31-19 to win the inaugural CGS 2007 UK Championship. London Mint and Birmingham Salvo, the newest teams to be announced by CGS, will join ten other teams from around the world at the CGS 2007 World Championship in Los Angeles to compete for a million dollar-prize purse.
Exclusive coverage of the inaugural CGS UK Championships and the forthcoming CGS World Championships in Los Angeles will be broadcast on Sky One, Sky One HD and Sky Two during Championship Gaming Week, Monday 24th to Sunday 30th December 2007.

In furiously contested battles across four different video games, the London Mint and Birmingham Salvo teams battled in London for the UK Championship title, with the London Mint team emerging triumphant.
Each CGS team features a total of ten athletes, each specializing in an official League game. Five of the ten players comprise a Counter-Strike: Source squad which competes in five-on-five matches. FIFA 07 is played one-on-one. Each CGS team also has a mixed-doubles team of two DOA4 players, who will play against other teams in one-on-one matches on Xbox 360. The racing game PGR3 is played by two players on each team in a two-versus-two format.
