Champion of the Gods

The Forlorn Games team is pleased to announce the wait is finally over as our forthcoming browser based role playing game Champion of the Gods will be released on March 5th 2010.

Champion of the Gods is fully playable on a PC/MAC using a web browser ( http://www.championofthegods.com/), as well as via Facebook ( http://apps.facebook.com/championofthegods/) and fully playable on mobile phones ( http://www.championofthegods.com/mobile/) using the Skyfire web browser or compatible browsers. There are very few browser based games designed for the portable market and so we are very excited to enter this new market, with Champion of the Gods you will be able to play the game at home, on the way to work/school or away from home without any loss of functionality!

As well as the usual RPG staple features of combat, magic and items we offer various other additional elements such as different storylines, strategy elements via the upgradable and expandable Pendragon City and the extensive gathering and crafting system!

Prize

As an introductory prize and something we might repeat in the future we will be holding a lottery to pick one lucky winner out of the highest top 5 players in COTG on September 5th 2010 (6 months from release). This winner can either choose to take a free PC (US only) or a cash prize (PayPal) or an in game credit.

Story

A fantasy setting, set during the time of King Arthur, Merlin and Morgana although these three are dead. This is central to the storyline!

The game takes part 40 years after a massive battle that led to the death of Arthur and the disappearance of Merlin and Morgana (as opposing forces).

With no strong leadership the people of Albion have regressed back to worshipping the old gods, and finding faith wherever they can.

The undead army Morgana raised has splintered and now roams around Albion seemingly with no leader, raiding parties frequently attack villages and strange monsters roam the night.

Community Features

One of the most important features in any game is how the game supports and enhances the community; this is why we provide two features that we think will aid this greatly!

1). The Library of the Sages is a standalone web system that incorporates information on all of the Items and Quests in the game, it can be reached at http://www.championofthegods.com/library.asp , using the Library and its advanced search tools you can find information on the coolest and most interesting items in the game as well as access buttons to link that information to other users. The Library also includes a Wiki where staff and players alike can post articles on various aspects of the game to provide insightful help to others!

2). The Guild Portal is a website unique to each guild, it features information on guild members as well as ranks and for those members who log in an easy way to access a central Guild Forum to communicate with your guild friends.

All in all we have tried to make COTG not only a thoroughly enjoyable gaming experience but also one that will allow you to make many new friends and share your experiences with others.
