CGS Round 3: New York Hands Dallas First Defeat of Season

Combining a come from behind Counter-Strike win with a much needed upset in men's DOA, NY.3D earned it's first ever CGS win and handed Dallas Venom it's first loss of the season with an over team score of 24-22.

"We got the job done. There's nine more to go," offered 3D General Manager Dave Geffon.

Chicago Chimera steamrolled Los Angeles compLexity, 27-16, to take a share of first place. Chimera conceded only the FIFA event, while Wesley "Ch0mpr" Cwiklo cruised to first place finish in PGR and the DOA team made a clean sweep.

San Francisco Optx edged out Carolina, 26-19, on the strength of it's female DOA star Vanessa Arteaga, the PGR team and Alessandro "Stermy" Avallone's FIFA play.

After three rounds, the CGS season format has proven to be highly successful. Competitive matches have left the field too close to call, with Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco sharing a piece of first place, putting a rest to the notion that the league would be dominated by New York and Los Angeles. New York, Los Angeles and Carolina will regroup this weekend and aim to drive toward the top of the table when play resumes on July 2nd.
