Inspired by the original Tomb Raider video game; Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary celebrates and commemorates ten years of Tomb Raider and Lara Croft. Faithfully preserving the elements which made the original Tomb Raider game such a classic, Tomb Raider: Anniversary uses enhanced graphics, technology and physics to bring Lara's adventures up to today's technology standards and will offer gamers a completely new gameplay experience.

The original Tomb Raider was released in 1996 and sold over seven million copies. The game also saw Lara Croft become a major icon of the video games industry and be recognised as the "Most Successful Human Videogame Heroine" in 2006 by the Guinness Book of Records.
