cdv expands its executive ranks

Arne Peters joins cdv from Intel

Bruchsal, 14th August 2007 - cdv Software Entertainment AG is systematically furthering the expansion of its executive ranks. Today the cdv board of directors agreed the appointment of Arne Peters to the executive board. On 1st September, Arne Peters will move from Intel to cdv and take up his position as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Arne Peters (37) brings with him the best possible prerequisites for his new responsibilities at cdv. Over the last three years he has worked for semiconductor manufacturer Intel, prior to which he held positions with companies such as Atari and Nintendo. As the man tasked with planning Intel's strategic alignment and activities in the consumer software branch in Europe, he was also responsible for the entire games sector at Intel. He also liaised with developers and publishers and has prime contacts in the sector. The cdv board of directors welcomed Peters' acceptance of the post, which gives him a pivotal role in the strategically reoriented company. Through Peters, cdv hopes to strengthen its contacts in the developer field and further sharpen its profile as a full service provider.

Highly promising challenges following realignment

Peters is looking to his new tasks with keen anticipation: "After its successfully executed turnaround, and thanks to its systematic realignment, cdv offers an unmatched challenge: helping to map out the future under the company's new launch conditions." Arne Peters is convinced by the business model as a publisher/independent full service provider: "In recent years I have attended many developer conferences. One question was always hanging in the air: how do you position yourself more strongly as a developer and yet maintain your independence?" In the last months, cdv has also provided stock market evidence that the company is on the right path, its share price recently touching a high of 21 euros.
