CDV bring strategy gaming to next generation consoles
Leading PC strategy game publisher CDV are moving into the next generation console market, following a new partnership with Budapest-based Digital Reality.
Leading PC strategy game publisher CDV are moving into the next generation console market, following a new partnership with Budapest-based Digital Reality.
The two companies will be working on a number of titles which will be co-designed and jointly developed, combining strategic gameplay with next generation graphics and processing power.
"We at CDV are excited about the challenge to offer truly premium strategy titles that take full advantage of the Next-Gen consoles' significant power and anticipated audience," stated CDV's Chief Technical Officer Teut Weidemann. "We plan to leverage our long-standing experience making and delivering successful PC strategy games, and are confident in our abilities to finally offer a cutting-edge strategy experience to those that have long thought that domain belongs solely to PC games, he added."
CDV has a long history in the development and publishing of successful PC strategy games, including Cossacks, Sudden Strike and Codename: Panzers. Digital Reality was founded in 1991 and is currently the largest game developer in Hungary.

No details regarding specific projects or game titles resulting from the new partnership have been announced so far.
