HAMBURG, Germany – January 21, 2010 – The Casual Games Association, the international trade organization of the casual games industry, today announced that Casual Connect Europe 2010, the world’s largest casual games conference series, will take place February 10-12 in Hamburg, Germany.
The mass market appeal and myriad of distribution platforms¯including the emerging markets of iPhone, Android and social networks¯have enabled casual games to become the hottest sector in interactive entertainment.
Casual games are designed for everyone, everywhere. They appeal to all types of consumers and can be played on any gaming platform, from computers to game consoles, to handheld game devices and mobile phones, to interactive television. This mass appeal has resulted in exponential growth, capturing consumers who never envisioned themselves as gamers. This widespread success didn’t happen by chance. It happened because the people who love games as much as gamers themselves have continued to work hard to bring high-quality products to a wide audience.
