Capcom(R) Announce European Release Of Street Fighter™ II': Champion Edition on Mobile

Street Fighter™ Returns to the Mobile in Time for the Franchise's 20th Anniversary

London - August 15, 2007 - Capcom®, a leading developer and publisher of video games, today announced that the highly successful Street Fighter series will return to mobile phones with the European release of Street Fighter II': Champion Edition. With Street Fighter celebrating its 20th anniversary next year, Champion Edition will be available for the mobile from September 2007.

Faithfully reproduced from the arcade original, Street Fighter II': Champion Edition features 12 playable characters, each with a unique fighting style. Along with favourites such as Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li, players can now also choose to fight as the four powerful "boss" characters; kick boxer Sagat, the levitating M.Bison, head-butting Balrog and the acrobatic Vega.

In order to be crowned the street fighting champion, players must master an array of special moves and combos, and defeat each opponent on their own national background. In the fight to the top, gamers will travel to arenas such as Guile's American airbase and Dhalsim's Indian Temple.

Street Fighter II': Champion Edition, widely regarded as a genre defining title, is replicated on the mobile with the same fast and frenetic game play which has given Street Fighter the status of one of the world's greatest video game franchises.
