Capcom expands US executive management team
Capcom US has announced the appointment of three new senior level management executives, one of whom will lead the company's newly created mobile and interactive division.
Capcom US has announced the appointment of three industry veterans to key senior level management positions, one of whom has been tasked with leading the company's newly created mobile and interactive division.
Mark Beaumont joins the publisher as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Most recently serving in the same role for Midway Entertainment, Beaumont was responsible for North American sales, European operations and new product planning and acquisitions. With 23 years industry experience in senior level managerial roles for Psygnosis, Atari and Activision, Beaumont will be tasked with overseeing every aspect of Capcom's North American sales and marketing operations.
Michael Rubinelli will be responsible for third party product evaluation and acquisition, seeking new titles for Capcom to publish domestically or internationally. As vice president of business development/third party product acquisition and development, Rubinelli will draw on his 13 years experience in product development and acquisition. Beginning his career as a producer at Electronic Arts, Rubinelli has served in senior level roles for THQ, Midway and most recently, as a consultant for Take-Two Interactive.

A third and equally significant addition to the management team comes in the shape of Midori Yuasa, who will serve as senior vice president and general manager of Capcom's newly created mobile and interactive division.
Operating with a new team in Los Angeles, Yuasa will be tasked with establishing Capcom in the mobile market, bringing the company's broad product portfolio to wireless customers in North America.
Formerly serving as executive director of mobile business at Sony Pictures Digital, Yuasa was instrumental in planning and launching Sony's Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) business in San Diego. She also worked to establish Sony's PDA business and brings a wealth of wireless entertainment experience to her new role at Capcom.
