Canning Tiberium damaged EA's "credibility", says analyst
Mike Hickey, of Janco Partners, says the failure to produce a title indicated a "continued lack of management"
Electronic Arts recent move to cancel the Command & Conquer FPS, Tiberium, citing quality concerns, has damaged the company's "credibility", according to Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey, reported by Gamasutra.
The analyst said that the failure for the title to materialise indicated a "lack of management" which could dampen excitement over investment.
"Continued lack of management execution and/or product quality, damages new management's credibility and dampens our excitement for the company's shares," said Hickey.
Hickey explained that he expects EA to lower its expectations for its fiscal year, however he is still "cautiously positive" on the company's prospects and predicts a good performance from Warhammer Online and Mirror's Edge.
