Call of Duty League cancels all scheduled live events due to COVID-19
All planned matches will go forward online-only, with live broadcasts
The Call of Duty League has cancelled all its scheduled live events as a measure to help prevent further spread of COVID-19 (known as the novel coronavirus).
Instead, the same events will be played online-only, and will be broadcast live with dates to-be-announced.
"Call of Duty League has seen firsthand the power of our live events in our inaugural season, and will return to city-based competition in front of live audiences as soon as it is safe and logistically possible," reads the League's statement.
Numerous other conferences and events have been cancelled, postponed, or converted to digital-only events in the recent weeks due to the spread of the coronavirus, including the Overwatch League's planned live matches for all of March and April.
