Call of Duty holds number one spot

Activision title outselling FIFA 09 by 2.5-to-1

Activision's Call of Duty: World at War remains at the top of the UK All Formats charts this week, despite a drop in sales of 51 per cent.

The game is out-selling FIFA 09 at number two, by 2.5-to-1 according to data from GfK Media Create.

EA's football game has jumped back up the charts as sales climbed 28 per cent in the run-up to Christmas, followed by Nintendo's Mario Kart Wii at three this week, also benefiting from a sales increase of 33 per cent.

The two new entries in the top ten this week are EA's Need for Speed: Undercover at four and Eidos' Tomb Raider: Underworld at nine.

Other titles enjoying increased sales include Wii Fit with a sales boost of 45 per cent, Brain Training on the DS which jumps 46 per cent and Wii Play, with sales up 22 per cent.

The only other entry in the All Formats top 40 this week is Valve's Left 4 Dead, at 14.

Bricks-and-mortar sales of Blizzard's World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King have been almost killed by its digital release, with sales down 91 per cent as it plummets from second to 34th place.
