Session tracks, speakers and topics have been confirmed for the forthcoming 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo conference and workshop program, which will run over two days between the 9-11th May.

Featuring more than 175 industry experts and over thirty-four sessions, the program has been designed to explore the key issues affecting the videogames industry as it moves towards the completion of the current hardware transition into next-generation platforms.

Covering multiple areas of the interactive entertainment industry, panel sessions this year include "Creativity and Technology: Taking Control of the Next Generation of Gameplay", "Business Strategy: Embracing a New Set of Best Practices", and "Market Analysis: Understanding the New Digital Entertainment Landscape."

In addition to the next-generation platform focus, conference sessions will include insight into and exploration of digital distribution, massively multiplayer online gaming and cross-platform game development, casual gaming, new funding ventures, and an emphasis on the mobile space, which has attracted significant interest from major publishers of late.

Additional workshops will be available throughout the event, and Tuesday May 9th will include a special mid-day session offering additional insight and exploration of key issues from Sims creator Will Wright.

Full details of the business conference, session tracks and confirmed speakers, in addition to registration information for the exclusive early press access to the show floor on May 10th can be found by visiting the official E3 website.
