Burger Island 2: The Missing Ingredient
The ideal holiday destination, apart from the greasy film on the sea.
LANGHORNE, Pa., December 17, 2008 – Casual games developer and publisher eGames, Inc. (Pink Sheets: EGAM) today announced the official launch of Burger Island® 2: The Missing Ingredient, the follow-up to smash 2007 online hit, Burger Island. Launching this week for PC on multiple leading online game portals, Burger Island’s debut includes a marketing campaign through industry innovator WildTangent, further exposing the game to millions of casual game fans.
In Burger Island 2, Patty Melton and fan favorite sidekick Pierre return to find a suspicious burger franchise, run by ambitious Edie Cole Iverson stealing Beach Burger's business. Hoping to expand their menu, Patty finds the island's resident recipe guru, the Tiki Guy, has gone missing. The hunt for the Tiki Guy begins as Patty and Pierre attempt to rebuild their business, cook up all new recipes, track down new ingredients, and create the mythical Great Sauce.
“More of the same, only tastier: That’s the kind of dish new time management title Burger Island 2 serves up, delivering an even juicier helping of food service fun than its predecessor,” said reviewer Scott Steinberg of popular casual games site Gamezebo.
“We are extremely excited to deliver Burger Island 2 to a casual game audience hungry for more cooking fun on the PC,” said eGames Product Manager Greg Zesinger. “With beefed up features including all-new foods and ingredients, and the ability to create your own recipes, Burger Island 2 should be the top entrée on every casual game fan’s holiday menu.”
Burger Island 2: The Missing Ingredient is currently available at www.egames.com and other leading game portals, with additional sites to follow. A Nintendo DS version of Burger Island will also be available this month, while development for iPhone and Nintendo Wii installments of the burger-flipping franchise is ongoing.
