Barlad, Romania, December 3, 2007 - Independent game developers Brightside Entertainment have announced the latest edition of their Marble Arena map making competition. This week's theme is racing.
Start laying tarmac, burn marble rubber and leave your opponents in a trail of marble dust, because speed is this week theme's center point. Create the most breathtaking circuit by cleverly placing powerups, ramps or traps and take your pick from the prizes the Prize Bucket has to offer.
Among this week's prizes you'll find a very original block-matching puzzle game called "Around the World" developed by Frozax Games. During your tour, progressively discover wonders of ten cities by completing the levels on time. The game features 100 levels organized in 20 different layouts with many powerful power-ups. You will gather up to 18 awards by performing matches and combos and can become famous by posting your scores in the online highscores table.
Marble Arena is Brightside Entertainment's popular family friendly, freeware game where you have to maneuver a marble across a myriad of obstacles, over many types of surfaces while mastering physics contraptions and battling it out with AI controlled marbles. The game and its built in editor are based on the popular Cube 2 engine. All those who are used to creating maps for it or its mods will have no problems creating maps for Marble Arena. If you don't know your way around, the forum awaits you with all the answers you'll ever need.
