Breakpoint merges with MNI

Polish media group buys stake in developer

Developer and publisher Breakpoint has merged with Polish media and telecoms group MNI.

MNI has bought 57 per cent of Breakpoint shares valued at EUR 1.2 million.

"We start the new year with great perspectives to expand," offered Pawel Nowak, CEO of Breakpoint.

"It is on account of the MNI Group that Breakpoint is going to have a bigger opportunity for growth, due to new investments and corporate synergy," added Nowak.

Breakpoint has recently signed a number of distribution deals with companies such as Vodafone, T-Mobile and Orange, and expects sales to triple throughout 2007.

"Breakpoint's incorporation into the group means for MNI further enhancement of its position on the content and services providers market for mobile and interactive channels, including IPTV," commented Piotr Koenig, chairman of MNI.
