Breakpoint launches Michael Mepham's Sudoku

Exclusively distributed by Tribune Media Services

Polish mobile games and entertainment developer Breakpoint has announced the launch of Michael Mepham's Sudoku, a new version of the popular number puzzle game which will be exclusively distributed by Tribune Media Services' freshly launched mobile content platform.

TMS Mobile is a collaborative project between Tribune Media Services and Canadian-based AcrNum, designed to provide off-deck mobile content services for both consumers and businesses throughout the US and abroad.

Stephen Tippie, TMS' VP marketing and licensing, commented: "We believe that our first off-deck product is the best mobile Sudoku available and an excellent indicator of the quality of mobile content we plan to feature as we expand."

Breakpoint is currently completing development on Michael Mepham's Kakuro, another number-based puzzle title, with further games and entertainment titles planned for release over the coming months.

"Michael Mepham is a name that stands for the best in intellectual fun. We are happy to join forces and make it as mobile as never before." added Ludwik Zoltowski, head of sales and business development at Breakpoint.

"Our high quality mobile content combined with the unique content distribution system developed by Tribune Media Services and AcrNum will quickly gain the appreciation of mobile phone users worldwide," he concluded.

The new direct-to-consumer service from TMS is the first to use numeric domain names to ensure swift and straightforward access to mobile content. The Sudoku game, for example, can be accessed by entering 783658.com into the mobile's WAP browser, corresponding to the letters which spell SUDOKU on the mobile keypad.

Consumers can download packs of 10 Sudoku puzzles for US$4.99, and Breakpoint will be adding additional puzzle packs and new titles in the near future.
