Brand new UK top 4 sees Tomb Raider emerge victorious
Sim City takes second as Crysis 3 drops 5 places to sixth, behind Fifa 13
The UK has new names occupying the top four spots in its software chart, headed up by Crystal Dynamics' reboot of Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider marks the biggest UK launch week so far, comfortably doubling sell-through of Aliens: Colonial Marines, according to tracking group GFK Chart Track. It's also the best launch week for any game in the series so far.
Following Lara's origin story is EA's SimCity, which reviewed well but has been hamstrung by numerous server availability issues and customer concerns. Third comes with something of a surprise as Namco Bandai enters the chart with a game, and a series, which sees precious little coverage from most games media outlets, Naruto Shippenden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. Fourth is the University Life expansion for the Sims 3.
Whilst the ever-present FIFA has managed to hold onto fifth place from last week, the previous number one has fallen behind it to sixth in the form of Crysis 3, nonetheless marking EA's fourth top-ten spot.
