Bournemouth University Chooses endorphin for World-Leading Animation Courses
PRESS RELEASE
Oxford, UK, 11th November 2004 -- NaturalMotion Ltd., an innovative British developer of dynamic motion synthesis technology, announced today that the National Centre for Computer Animation at Bournemouth University, UK, one of the world's leading animation schools, has deployed multiple licenses of endorphin across its animation and visual effects courses. endorphin, which uses revolutionary AI and biomechanics techniques for real-time high quality character motions, was chosen due to the advances it makes in computer animation and the possibilities it will offer students upon graduation.
endorphin will be integrated into the teaching units of the BA (Hons) Computer Visualisation and Animation, MA 3D Computer Animation and MSc Computer Animation. It will be used by students in their project work, which include individual projects, group projects, innovation projects, major projects and masters projects.
"endorphin is a glimpse of the future today. It is the way computer animation will be performed in the future and it is essential that our graduates are made aware of these very important trends," comments John Vince, Professor of Digital Media at Bournemouth. "We're confident our students will be inspired by the power of endorphin and explore unusual applications for it. Ultimately, they will be able to influence the computer animation and computer games industries and accelerate the trend towards powerful intelligent software tools."
"The Bournemouth Media School has an amazing reputation in the industry, and we are delighted by their decision to use endorphin across their animation courses. We are looking forward to seeing great student show reels and project work," said Torsten Reil, CEO of NaturalMotion.
