Bohemia revenue up 10% for 2020
Czech developer attributes higher revenue to DayZ and Arma 3
Recently, Bohemia Interactive announced its financials for the year 2020 and reported the highest revenue it has seen in five years.
For the fiscal year, net sales were reported at $47.5 million, up 10% year over year.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization were reported at $31 million, up 30% year over year.
The Czech developer shared that DayZ and Arma 3 were its two best selling titles, both of which came out in 2013 and have been supported on an ongoing basis since.
The company shared further that its continued support of both titles kept them popular among fans across their respective platforms.
"As for our future outlook, we expect to reach slightly better results at the end of 2021 than in the previous year", said Bohemia CFO Slavomír Pavlíček.
"We intend to strengthen our position on the console market, but we also want to grow geographically."
Looking ahead, the company plans to it plans to "grow geographically and strengthen its position on the console market." As Tencent invested in it in February, Bohemia said it will continue putting resources into in its multiplatform engine Enfusion.
